The Vitovent 100-D decentralized mechanical ventilation unit operates as quiet as a whisper. It’s equally suitable for modernization and new construction.
Rising energy costs make upgrading energy systems in residential construction a must. Window replacement and insulation of building envelopes are often part of the upgrade process. As a result, even older homes become so airtight that fresh air intake is inadequate. This leads to high indoor humidity, which can lead to mold growth, especially in buildings with insulated exterior walls. Installing mechanical ventilation units can solve this problem.
The Vitovent 100-D decentralized mechanical ventilation unit is particularly suitable for ventilating living rooms and bedrooms for both children and adults. The continuous operation of the ventilation system ensures that stale air is constantly replaced with fresh air in interior spaces, while simultaneously regulating relative humidity.
At least two Vitovent 100-D units operate in alternating mode. One draws fresh air into the room, while the other exhausts stale air outside. The heat stored in the stale air heats a built-in ceramic heat accumulator. After approximately 70 seconds, the rotation direction of both fans reverses, and the accumulated heat is transferred to the fresh incoming air.
The Vitovent 100-D’s integrated heat recovery reaches 91%, resulting in significant reductions in heating bills. Heat recovery can be disabled during the summer, allowing cool night air to enter the room.
The touchscreen programming unit is installed in the living space as a central controller for the Vitovent 100-D. It allows you to adjust the air exchange rate for the entire unit or for each room individually. Six different operating modes are available with a single touch of the screen:
An optional, easy-to-use LED programming unit is available for basic functions. It controls the ventilation level, eco mode, and ventilation mode. The touchscreen and LED programming unit feature a filter change indicator. A wide range of accessories is available to simplify installation and system expansion. The Vitovent 100-D can be easily serviced from the living space without tools.
