Whether it's stainless steel heat exchangers in a condensing boiler, stainless steel cylinders in the Vitocell 300 series, or heating control via an app: Viessmann products are distinguished by superior quality, resource-saving technology, and maximum efficiency. That's why we offer a warranty of up to 10 years on many components.
In addition to the statutory warranty, we offer additional warranty services. The warranty period begins upon commissioning, no later than three months after delivery by Viessmann. With these warranties, we uphold our commitment to providing product owners and heating contractors with high-quality products that perform flawlessly. Viessmann offers free repair of any defects, provided they are genuinely caused by material or manufacturing defects.
The Viessmann warranty does not cover certain defects or damage. These include any defects or damage resulting from improper design or assembly. This also applies to the use of unsuitable operating fluids or fuel. Incorrect system modifications or third-party parts may also cause damage not covered by our warranty. Furthermore, wear parts must be replaced in accordance with Viessmann's instructions. Otherwise, you will not be able to benefit from the Viessmann warranty. These defects also include damage caused by external influences, such as frost.
In addition to these basic terms and conditions, we also offer a number of special warranty services, which are described below.
Warranty on stainless steel heat exchangers up to 150 kW
Viessmann offers a 10-year warranty on stainless steel heat exchangers up to 150 kW. The warranty only covers leaks caused by corrosion.

Warranty on stainless steel cylinders
All adjacent and horizontal cylinders in Viessmann's Vitocell 300 series are made of stainless steel. These cylinders represent a product of the highest quality and are characterized by a long service life, safe and efficient operation. That's why Viessmann offers a 10-year warranty against leaks caused by corrosion on Vitocell 300 series stainless steel cylinders sold from 01/04/2017.
The warranty is provided subject to the following conditions:
This is a product-only warranty, i.e., any installation costs, installation materials, labor, etc. are not included.
Product registration is necessary for automatic warranty extension (for certain components). For registration, you need to enter your system data into our system, after which you will receive a system certificate. In addition to all important system data, it also contains information about warranty extension. For registration, you only need the serial number. You can register your Viessmann product yourself or ask your heating contractor to do it for you.
When connecting the system via the ViCare app, you receive a 5-year warranty. This applies to all heat generators up to 60 kW purchased from 01/04/2016. Another important point is the control unit with web connectivity capability. In addition, the web connection must be established within the first 24 months from the date of invoice by Viessmann.
Furthermore, the warranty is only valid if the system remains connected throughout the entire warranty period. In addition, service, inspection, maintenance and warranty work must be performed by a heating contractor.
Selected kits from the 300 series in the Viessmann range also come with a 5-year warranty. The warranty starts from the time the system is commissioned and no later than three months thereafter. It ends after 5 years and is not extended or renewed as part of the expected warranty service.
What does the warranty on 300 series packages cover?
In the event of a warranty claim, Viessmann will eliminate defects in the standard delivery kit free of charge. The damage must be an obvious result of a material or manufacturing defect. Travel and labor costs for troubleshooting, as well as dismantling defective components and installing replacements are included. The warranty does not cover all fast-wearing parts and auxiliary materials. You can find out what these are in information sheet 14 BDH on annual inspection and maintenance of heating systems. The warranty also does not cover any damage caused by failure to follow installation, operation and maintenance instructions or external influences.
With a new Viessmann heating system, you can count on reliable, efficient operation and a long service life. When purchasing and installing the Vitoset Protect package, you receive a 6-year System Plus warranty on Viessmann heat generators up to 60 kW purchased after 01/04/2020. To qualify for the warranty, you must establish a web connection via the ViCare app. The original Vitoset Protect accessories include fittings suitable for your system for filling the heating system with purified water, as well as a dirt separator with magnet and air separator. These components help ensure proper operation of your system.
