Since 2020, the existing quality, environmental, energy, occupational health and safety management systems have been combined into a single integrated management system.
The quality management system defines all principles and systematic procedures for achieving and ensuring all internal and external requirements for products and processes. By maintaining and continuously updating the quality management system, we can guarantee compliance with requirements and contribute to the long-term success of the company.
Viessmann was first certified to ISO 9001 in 1994. In 2019, we successfully transitioned to the updated ISO 9001:2015 standard. Since 2020, the quality management system has been an integral part of the integrated management system and is monitored annually together with our other management systems.
For decades, we have been implementing the concept of integrated environmental protection throughout the entire value chain. Environmental protection integrated into processes and products has the highest priority over remedying damage that has already occurred. Environmental management, implemented over several years, organizes and monitors the implementation of our environmental policy.
The ISO 14001 certificate demonstrates that we comply with current environmental legislation and are working on the continuous improvement of our environmental performance. Since 2020, the environmental management system has been an integral part of the integrated management system and is monitored annually together with our other management systems.
Viessmann has received the ISO 50001 certificate for its energy management system at its plant in Allendorf and other facilities. Improving energy efficiency plays a key role in achieving energy and climate policy goals. Therefore, energy efficiency is an important part of resource conservation.
Since 2020, the energy management system has been an integral part of the integrated management system and is monitored annually by an external certifier together with our other management systems.
After 10 years of successful participation in the BS OHSAS 18001 audit for occupational health and safety, our best performance was confirmed and certified by TÜV Rheinland under the new standard EN ISO 45001.
Viessmann Group companies have been implementing an occupational health and safety management system since 2020, and from 2023 it is expected to be jointly certified as part of the integrated management system.
EMAS participants implement a standardized environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and undergo annual audits conducted by state-approved independent environmental experts. They publish their environmental data in detail, including resource and energy consumption, emissions, waste, etc., in their annual environmental report. They also set environmental targets and publish information on how environmental performance will be continuously and systematically improved.
Thanks to exemplary and innovative environmental management, Viessmann is recognized as a pioneer in environmental protection. Viessmann Werke, with its plants in Allendorf (Eder), was the first company in the heating technology sector and the second company in Germany to receive certification under the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) in 1995. Today, the Viessmann plant in Allendorf (Eder) holds the oldest entry in the EMAS company register.
