The Vitovent 050-D is a decentralized ventilation system installed via a core drill in an external wall. This makes it ideal for retrofits and use in multi-family buildings.
Continuous operation of the ventilation system ensures the constant replacement of stale air with fresh air in interior spaces, while simultaneously regulating relative humidity. At least two Vitovent 050-D units operate in alternating mode. One draws fresh air into the room, while the other exhausts stale air outside. The heat stored in the stale air heats a built-in ceramic heat accumulator. After approximately 70 seconds, the direction of rotation of both fans reverses, and the accumulated heat is transferred to the fresh incoming air. Alternating mode allows ventilating individual rooms or even adjacent rooms.
In addition to the standard white external wall cover, the Vitovent 050-D can be installed with stainless steel covers. Alternatively, the opening window option offers a particularly discreet installation. Besides its discreet appearance, it also features particularly high sound insulation against external noise (such as traffic).
The Vitovent 050-D’s integrated heat recovery reaches 90 percent, resulting in significant reductions in heating bills. Heat recovery can be disabled during the summer, allowing cool night air to enter the room.
Up to six ventilation units can be combined into a single programming unit for ventilating entire living spaces. A programming unit with large buttons is installed in each living space, serving as the central controller for the Vitovent 050-D. It can be used to adjust the air exchange rate for the entire living space. Five different operating modes are possible:
Alternatively, an easy-to-use rotary control is available for basic functions. The rotary control allows smooth adjustment of the air flow between individual ventilation levels. The programming unit with large buttons and the rotary control feature a filter change indicator. A wide range of accessories, including Vitovent extractor fans, are available to simplify installation and system expansion.
Vitovent 050-D can be easily serviced from the living area without the use of tools.
