How a heat pipe works

Vacuum tube collectors based on the heat pipe principle

ThermProtect

ThermProtect Temperature-Dependent Automatic Shut-Off for High Operational Reliability

Long service life of the whole system

Thanks to temperature-dependent shutdown in case of stagnation in the summer

Overheat Protection

In case of prolonged exposure to sunlight

Dry Connection

No direct contact between the fluid and the coolant, allowing for easy tube replacement when the system is full

Less space required

Compared to flat plate manifolds due to greater efficiency

Consistently high performance

No risk of absorbent contamination

High level of solar coverage

Therefore, it is suitable for central heating backup

Installation of a flat roof

Designed for horizontal installation on flat roofs and larger systems

Less shading

When installed horizontally on a flat roof due to the greater distance between the pipes

Can be rotated up to +/- 45 degrees

The absorber can be rotated up to +/- 45 degrees

Low maintenance cost

Thanks to the longer service life of solar panel components and pumps thanks to ThermProtect

Lower static load

By reducing the need for ballast in horizontal installations

Vitosol 200-TM Vacuum tube collector

Vitosol 200-TM Vacuum tube collector

The Vitosol 200-TM vacuum tube collector has been specially developed for horizontal installation in large systems on flat roofs and for apartment buildings. The absorbers can be rotated 45 degrees to best reflect the path of the sun without additional shading.

Operational reliability with ThermProtect

ThermProtect’s new temperature-dependent automatic shut-off function prevents overheating in the absence of heat dissipation and high insolation levels. Vitosol 200-TM is therefore also suitable for buildings that are not used all year round, such as schools.

Maximum heat transfer

The manifold works on the principle of a heat pipe, where the heat transfer fluid does not pass directly through the tubes. Instead, the working medium evaporates inside the heat pipe and transfers heat through the condensate to the heat transfer fluid through a copper heat exchanger. This method guarantees maximum and optimal heat transfer, as well as excellent performance and service performance.

Fast, easy and safe installation

The manifold housing does not need to be opened when inserting the pipes. Locking caps in the support bar prevent the tubes from slipping. If maintenance is required, the tubes can be replaced quickly, economically and easily thanks to their dry connection without the need to drain the water from the system.
