Make sure your heating is ready for winter

Let’s be honest, when it’s still warm and pleasant outside, you rarely think about your heating system. However, before winter sets in, you really should check your heating system. A Viessmann heating system inspection makes this quick and easy.

The quick guide below provides an example of the steps involved in checking your heating system. Please refer to your heating system’s operating instructions for instructions on how to perform the heating control.

Here’s how to easily check your heating

1. Select Party Mode

  • Press the party mode button until the temperature indicator flashes.
  • Set the temperature to 35°C.
  • Click OK to confirm.

2. Open the radiator in the living area

Set the room thermostat or control to maximum.

3. Check for a temperature increase

For a radiator, wait half an hour before checking if it’s heating up. For underfloor heating, wait at least 1.5 hours before checking for proper operation.

4. Stop the test if you notice a rise in temperature.

Complete the test by pressing the party button again.

The heating is working!

You can look forward to a pleasant and cozy winter season.

Blowing out radiators, checking the pressure in the system

You can easily identify two common reasons why your appliance isn’t heating properly. And with a little technical knowledge, you can also fix them yourself.

If your radiators are gurgling or making noise, it usually indicates air in the system. In this case, bleeding the air is the only solution. Information on this can be found in the “Bleeding Radiators” section on heizung.de.
Checking the System Pressure: Correct water pressure is vital for the efficient operation of the heating system. “Optimal pressure” is indicated by the “green zone” on the pressure display. For information on topping up, see the “Water Pressure in the Heating System” section on heizung.de.
