Heat production for residential and commercial buildings accounts for approximately 40 percent of total energy consumption in Western industrialized countries. At the same time, this represents a huge potential for savings that must be harnessed through modern heating technology. Highly efficient heating systems, including Viessmann low-temperature gas boilers, are already in use worldwide – not only in numerous households but also in many large-scale projects.
From historic monuments to high-performance industrial complexes and large residential and commercial buildings, Viessmann has the right innovative heating solutions to meet a wide range of challenges. By using energy efficiently and economically, these heating systems make an active contribution to climate protection.
Low-temperature gas boiler Vitoplex 300 with multi-layer convective heating surfaces
Viessmann has developed several low-temperature gas boilers for use in large buildings, commercial spaces, and industrial facilities. Among them is the Vitoplex 300. This three-pass boiler, with its proven multi-layer convection heating surfaces made of three-layer tubes, ensures particularly economical, clean, and reliable operation. The Vitoplex 300’s multi-layer heating surfaces consist of telescopically arranged steel tubes pressed into one another for ideal heat transfer. The inner tube, with its linear fins, creates a heating surface 2.5 times larger than that of smooth tubes.

Traditional boilers for different requirements
The versatility of the Vitoplex range, which is technically and price-wise divided into 300 and 200 series, ensures there’s an ideal solution for every requirement and every budget. All products share one thing in common: the highest quality for which Viessmann is renowned. The Vitorond 200 comes into its own when space constraints require the gas boiler to be transported to the installation site in sections.

Vitorond 200: Flexible design
Older buildings, in particular, often have cramped spaces, significantly complicating installation. The Vitorond 200 low-temperature gas boiler is the solution to this problem. This cast-iron sectional boiler allows the individual sections to be transported to the boiler room separately. Once all components are in place, the low-temperature gas boiler can be easily assembled on-site using a compression tool.
Heating surface made of eutectoplex for high operational reliability and long service life
The cast sections of the Vitorond 200 boilers are made of a special eutectic cast iron with a homogeneous structure. The fine design of the graphite fins and the high purity of the special cast iron with a low phosphorus content enhance its elasticity. The material, shape, and geometry of the cast sections ensure uniform cooling within the mold during production. This prevents structural stress from the outset, ensuring high operational reliability and a long service life.
Low emission three pass boiler
At the end of the combustion chamber, combustion products pass forward through four hot gas flues arranged symmetrically around the combustion chamber and, through the front section, enter four third-pass hot gas collectors. At the rear of the boiler, four cooled hot gas streams are directed into the flue through the flue gas outlet. The three-pass design reduces the residence time of hot gases in the high-temperature reaction zone, resulting in reduced nitrogen oxide emissions.
